Dual sway or dual friction sway controll
Thank you all for your comments on friction sway controll vs dual cam.It looks like dual cam wins hands down. Unfortunatly my dealer talked me into a single friction controll bar. I noticed some of you said that a dual cam is better than a (single) friction. If I added another friction controll so that I had one on each side do you think that I would have similiar controll of sway that the dual cam provides or should I have my dealer switch me over to dual cam. I pulled the trailer home 100 miles down the interstate and would get a little sway here and there throughout the trip. I have never pulled anything this big so I am not sure how much sway is really to be expected.I have a 29ft 2008 TT it weighs 6200lb dry with 869lb of tongue weight. By the way pegasses thanks for turning me onto this web site.
RE: Friction sway controll or dual cam
Thank you all for your coments on dual cam vs friction controll. It sounds as if dual cam wins hands down.Unfortunatly the dealer talked me into the friction controll (single). I notice some of you noted that dual cam was better than a single friction. If I added another friction controll so I had one on each side would I be comparable to dual cam or should I tell my dealer to switch me over to dual cam. My trailor is a 2008 29ft TT weight of 6200lb dry 869lb tongue.I pulled it home 100miles down the interstate this week, we could feel wiggle at different occasions on the way home. Really never pulled anything this big before so it is hard for me to say if it was excessive sway or not. pegasses thanks for turning me on to this site.
